The Nicasio School District announces that the failure to elect due to an insufficient number of candidates for the November 3, 2026 election has created one vacant position on the Nicasio School District Board of Trustees effective December 2026.

The Trustees voted at a Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2026, to make a provisional appointment of Martha Davis to a four-year term ending in December 2030 to fill this vacancy. Unless a petition calling for a special election containing a sufficient number of signatures is filed in the Office of the Marin County Superintendent of Schools within thirty (30) days of the provisional appointment, the appointment shall become an effective appointment (Education Code 5092).
